Despite the curveballs that the COVID-19 Pandemic has thrown, Agraj Seva Kendra has remained active as an organization and has interpreted the Pandemic as an opportunity to serve the community even more than before through STEM activities. Below are the overviews of the latest STEM activities pursued by Agraj Seva Kendra as well as exciting upcoming events!
NBT Science symposium
SAVE THE DATE On Sunday, June 9th 2024, the annual NBT Science Symposium (Science Fair) will be held from 10:00am to 3:00 pm at North Brunswick Township High School. The objective of this event is to showcase the talent of our students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic (STEM). There will be many brilliant submissions! Agraj Youth Wing members are requested to attend and encourage young scientists.
STEMFEST 2024: Nurture the Future
AGRAJ SEVA KENDRA In association with R&D Council of NJ and NJ STEM Pathways conducted STEMFEST 2024: Nurture the Future – KIDS Science Exhibition. With guidance from industry & academics professionals and the mentorship of high school student, STEMFEST 2024 inspired the next generation of young innovators(K-8) through standards-aligned resources and at-home DIY science experiments with mentors and explained their presentations. Also, STEMFEST research presentation contest for High School STEM Kids has been conducted and awarded the best teams.
Engineer's day 2024
Agraj Seva Kendra in collaboration with KEAN and Solar landscape, organized Engineers day 2024 at Monroe Township Library on 02/24/2024 with enthralling activities such as a New Idea Quest IDATHON for STEM Students; Engineering: How much you know – A Q&A session; Esteemed Engineers share their experiences across their industries.
STEM Day 2023
Agraj Seva Kendra is excited to present its 2023 Annual STEM Day, sponsored by NJ STEM Pathways. This event has been conducted on March 25th, 2023, 10AM - 2PM at Monroe Township Library NJ 08831. Our STEM Day included poster presentations from exceptional student researchers, a STEM professional panel discussion, and college admissions panel discussion. This was a great event.
Data Nova - Science Research Symposium 2023
Agraj Seva Kendra is proudly presenting Data Nova - Science Research Symposium 2023! The event will be held in Monroe Township Library, NJ on Saturday July 29th, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM. Various High School Students and College Undergrads in NJ will showcase their research, they have worked on various huge datasets along with reputed mentors.
Engineering Day - Creating the Future
Agraj Seva Kendra held an event to celebrate Engineering day on Feb 23 rd 2023 to motivate the younger generation towards the field of STEM education with focus on engineering. We had spectacular guest speakers as well as a panel speaker, and the event ended with many inspired young students ready to progress into a STEM field. Youth Wing held a book drive where they collected donated children's books to help support the kids of low-income families during the holiday season of the pandemic. The books were gift wrapped and then donated!
Be the Change Day Celebrations
Indian Americans will be recognized for their commitment to the community so far and their excellence. This will be held at East Brunswick Public Library By 6:00pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 Mr.Shaun Illingworth , Director, Rutgers Oral History Archives will make a presentation and interact with the following Be the change Award Winners Upendra Chivukula, Ritu Chopra, Andy Paluri and Dr. V.K. Raju
Alpha Hacks I
Alpha Hacks I was our highly successful first hackathon, organized by Agraj Seva Kendra Youth Wing and supervised by adult volunteers from Agraj! Held on April 2nd-4th 2021, 8th-12th grade students from 7+ countries participated in this virtual event. Alpha Hacks I had 100+ registrations, 5 sponsors, 28 project submissions, and 5 events/workshops throughout the course of the 3-day hackathon! The team looks forward to making Alpha Hacks an annual event and to continue inspiring more youth to learn abut and take part in STEM! Science symposium
This event was held on June 11th, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Middlesex County Academy. During this event, the senior class students from Middlesex County Academy presented their impressive research projects from throughout the school year. A wide range of projects were presented, including topics such as sustainability, medicine, pharmaceuticals, business, cybersecurity, AI, the economy, and more. The students were awarded with a plaque of appreciation along with gifts. The sponsors for this event were Agraj Seva Kendra and Siemens, and the event was a wonderful success!
Allies against covid
In the summer of 2020, Agraj Seva Kendra organized its youth-led research projects. Students applied to one of five different research streams (Medical, AI & Data Science, Cybersecurity, Urban Transportation, or Socio-Economic). Led by a mentor (an adult professional in the related industry), students worked on their research projects and created their research papers based on the information they found. Each research stream studied the effect of COVID-19 on their field.
